It's Friday!

I think Friday is literally my favorite day of the week.  Why?  Because Monday-Thursday is all work, and yes, Friday is work too, but you get to look forward to the weekend the entire day.  Saturday is pretty great too, but there isn't that anticipation like there is on Friday.  Also, you sort of dread only having one more day off when Saturday rolls around.  And Sunday? That's just a teaser day.  It's like half a weekend day really.  You have to get ready for the week and go to bed early because you have to wake up for work the next day.  So...basically...Friday rocks.

Is this entire blog post just about Friday?  No, but I'll be honest here and say I'm not all that great with keeping up with social media. That includes blog posts - if you couldn't tell, my last one was from January of this year.  I try to go online at least once a day and post something - anything!  Usually it's a funny meme or something book related, but I definitely haven't been keeping up with my blog.  I'm going to try to change that.  And since Friday is my favorite day of the week, I'm going to try to post something each Friday. The operative word here being "try." ;)

So what do I have to update you with?

A little book related tidbit first: I just finished my first round of edits on Book Boyfriend (which I want to release next, but no, I haven't set a date yet - I promise to let you know when I do).  I literally just texted my editor to give her a heads up that I'm sending it her way.  Also in the world of book news, I'm working to get A Brutal Betrayal on audio.  I'm pretty sure it's complete, but seeing as this is my first time getting an audio book out there, I'm sort of fumbling through the process.  As soon as I know it's done, I'll be sure to blast every social media site with the news.

And now, just for fun, a little weekend tidbit:  I went to USC (University of Southern California) for college, which pretty much means I'm a USC football fan by default.  The hubby and I try to go to a game a season (that doesn't always work out), but guess what?!?!?  We're going to the USC-Stanford game tomorrow! Woo Hoo!!  And the best part?  We're going with my sister (who also went to USC - what?  I couldn't NOT go to USC when the older sis went there - Trojan family after all ;) ) and her hubby & a couple of their friends.  We're going to tailgate and have a blast!  (Fingers crossed we have tons of fun, that the game is interesting to watch, and that we win!)

And that's the end of my very first "real" blog post. :)
